Statue
of Po'pay - Cost and Funding
Anne Green-Romig, the state Office of Cultural Affairs liaison to the Commission, said
that possibly as much as $300,000 must be raised
to pay for the commission and expenses of bringing Po'pay to the Capitol. The
Statuary Hall Commission created the New Mexico
Statuary Hall Foundation as the fund raising arm of the project.
The Foundation will hold fund-raising activities (keep checking back...we will
try to keep you updated), request grants, and seek donations from private and
corporate sponsors. All donations are gratefully appreciated. For more information, contact:
